Synopsis

This virtual training provides a practical overview of when and how to use MRSC Rosters to support public agency procurement in Washington State. Participants will learn the appropriate applications of the Vendor, Consultant, and Statewide Small Works Rosters, with a focus on practical implementation within Washington’s procurement requirements.

The session will begin with a brief overview of the Vendor and Consultant Rosters before taking a deeper look at the Statewide Small Works Roster. Using a project-based perspective, presenters will walk through the key steps involved in setting up and managing a project-specific roster from initial setup through contractor selection.

Throughout the training, presenters will share practical tips, common considerations, and best practices to help agencies use MRSC Rosters more effectively and confidently in day-to-day procurement activities.

Designed for public agency procurement and contract professionals at all experience levels, this session emphasizes real-world application and includes time for live Q&A with experienced practitioners.

Lisa Lagerstrom, MRSC Rosters Lead

Lisa is a former APEX Accelerator Advisor with over 8 years of helping businesses sell to government agencies (Local, State and Federal).  Her leadership at APEX led to a pioneering Public Works Contracting training series in 2022-2023, empowering contractors with essential insights into public sector projects. Lisa orchestrated “Meet the Agencies” events across Washington state, fostering direct engagement between contractors and public agencies.  Lisa’s career reflects a commitment to excellence in training, procurement, and government contracting, driven by her dedication to knowledge sharing and empowering others professionally.

Brynn Linville, MRSC Rosters Agency Coordinator 

Brynn has more than 10 years of experience spanning construction and nonprofit administration. During nearly four years with MRSC Rosters, Brynn has developed a deep understanding of the small works process and is passionate about and heavily involved in supporting its successful use by public agencies across the state, helping ensure the small works process is applied consistently and effectively.
