Annual Ski Day

Date: February 10, 2023 Crystal Mountain Resort

The Ski Day event is held annually (snow permitting) to provide an opportunity for networking and to enjoy the winter weather.  Both snowboarders and skiers have enjoyed this event in the past. The date is the Friday the week before President’s Day weekend. For more information and registration, see the Calendar List.

Board Meetings

Board meetings are held in conjunction with the Spring and Fall Conferences on the Wednesday of the Conference. The Winter and Summer board meetings are held independent of another event.

Each year the APWA WA Chapter hosts two educational conferences located in Western and Eastern Washington State. Each conference features educational tracks worth continuing education credits, great networking opportunities, and many fun events such as a Golf Tournament, Equipment ROADeo and 5k Run.

Golf Tournament

The Golf Tournaments are a great chance to network with other public works professionals. Normally held each year at the two chapter conferences, the golf tournaments give you a chance to explore the various golf courses of Washington State while connecting with others in your field. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the APWA WA Chapter Scholarships.

Night of Excellence Awards Ceremony

Project of the Year Awards Ceremony

ROADeo

Date: October 10, Three Rivers Convention Center, Kennewick (Fall Conference)

The APWA Operations and Maintenance Committee invite and encourage you to participate, and to allow participation by your maintenance workers, in the Equipment ROADeo held annually at the APWA WA Fall Conference. Participants will demonstrate their skills by maneuvering machinery through specific obstacle courses, and have the opportunity to network with other departments on techniques and how to better service customers.
