Board Meetings

Board meetings are held in conjunction with the Spring and Fall Conferences on either the Wednesday morning of the Conference. The Winter and Summer board meetings are held independent of another event.

Committee Summit

For Committee Chairs and committee delegates, this event allows committee leaders the opportunity to clarify their mission’s and while working with the Board. Morning coffee and buffet style lunch will be provided.

Each year the APWA WA Chapter hosts two educational conferences located in Western and Eastern Washington State. Each conference features educational tracks worth continuing education credits, great networking opportunities, and many fun events such as a Golf Tournament, Equipment ROADeo and 5k Run.

Golf Tournament

The Golf Tournaments are a great chance to network with other public works professionals. Normally held each year at the two chapter conferences, the golf tournaments give you a chance to explore the various golf courses of Washington State while connecting with others in your field. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the APWA WA Chapter Scholarships.

National First Responders Day

Night of Excellence Awards Ceremony

Project of the Year Awards Ceremony

These awards recognize excellence in management and administration to successfully complete public works projects. Awards fall into five categories, with dollar volume differentials within each category. ROADeo

The APWA Maintenance Committee invite and encourage you to participate, and to allow participation by your maintenance workers, in the Equipment ROADeo held annually at the APWA WA Fall Conference. Participants will demonstrate their skills by maneuvering machinery through specific obstacle courses, and have the opportunity to network with other departments on techniques and how to better service customers.

Ski Day (Not Hosted by APWA)

Please join our friends and associates at Crystal Mountain to enjoy a day of skiing & snowboarding for this industry related event. The Ski Day event is held annually (weather permitting) and is a great opportunity for networking and to enjoy the winter weather. This event is not hosted by APWA WA Chapter.
