We have an immediate opening for a Construction Inspector to provide constructability review and inspection services for District construction projects and developer extension projects to ensure compliance of District design, material, and construction standards.
Performs daily and final field inspection for District construction projects and developer extension projects to ensure compliance with state and local jurisdiction construction standards and District standards. Documents inspections in accordance with District protocols.
Collaborate with District engineers during the preliminary design phase in designing and ensuring constructability of District capital and developer extension project infrastructures.

Full Description:
Knowledge & Skills
• Knowledge in: Civil engineering principles, practices, and methods applicable to public works construction Applicable laws, standards and regulations relating to construction, inspection, safety, and traffic control (MUTCD) relating to underground utilities, specifically water and sewer.
• Skilled in: Reading and interpreting construction drawings, as-builts and maps, safety procedures, and regulations for confined space, and locate equipment.
Required Qualifications
• Prior experience in construction inspection and/or construction of water and sewer utilities
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License in good standing
Certifications and Training Requirements:
• WA State Flagging Card – Within 1 year from date of hire
• A/C Pipe Work practices and procedures – Within 2 years from date of hire
