Bio:

Thank you for considering me to serve on the Board of Directors for the Washington State Chapter of APWA. I have been involved with APWA for several years and am grateful for the diverse networking and professional development opportunities. I completed the APWA Northwest Public Works Institute Program in 2022 and served as an instructor for this program in 2024. In addition, I participated in the inaugural NWPWI Executive Leadership Forum and APWA Mentorship Program, which both began in 2023. Most recently, I assisted the City of Lake Stevens’ Public Works Department in achieving APWA Accreditation in June 2024. For the past two years, I have served as the City Engineer for the City of Lake Stevens overseeing the Engineering Division, capital project delivery and permitted private development. Prior to this role, I was a Senior Engineer at the City of Monroe for seven years and managed the design and construction of capital improvement projects. I also have seven years of experience in the private sector, where I worked on design-build highway projects for WSDOT and light rail design projects for Sound Transit. I graduated from the University of Washington with a BS in Civil Engineering, and I am a licensed Professional Engineer. I am passionate about collaborating with people and empowering successful teams, and I look forward to bringing this energy to our APWA Board, if elected to serve in this role.
