Mission

To develop a regional approach on technical, utility management, and regulatory issues that affect planning, building, and maintaining of wastewater utilities, with an emphasis for the reductionelimination, and prevention of fats, oils, and grease in our wastewater system.

 

Committee Goals & Activities

 

  1. Provide pretreatment and FOG information and training
  2. Foster discussion among committee members about pretreatment and FOG
  3. Reward and recognize excellence and innovation
  4. Prepare co-chairs for succession planning
  5. Set long-term goals to present technical session at APWA Conference
  6. Recruit new members to the committee
  1. Schedule biannual committee meetings
  2. Identify author and topic for Chapter magazine article
  3. Determine interest in “Pre-FOG Person-of-the-Year” award
  4. Develop topic for annual social media #CommitteeSpotlight
  5. Encourage attendance at APWA Conferences
  6. Cross-pollinate with other APWA committees
