Short Description: Positions in this class plan, assign, prioritize, secure equipment and supplies for, and coordinate all facets of the work, including safety plans and procedures for daily and short-term projects. The successful candidate will also help shape our team by mentoring and developing PW Maintenance Workers and regularly evaluating and communicating the progress and performance of those reporting to them on a regular or project basis. The Senior Lead plays a critical role in the Streets Division’s management of workplans and provides valuable input for decision making.

In addition, each position in this classification serves as a highly skilled and respected expert within his or her assigned utility specialty. This responsibility includes performing the more difficult tasks and assessments of problems; drafting preliminary new or modified standard operating procedures; drafting, implementing and evaluating daily traffic and safety plans; and assisting his/her manager with developing long-term division plans and scheduling needs.
